day 3. (day 1 in delhi)

we left school promptly, an hour late and set off for the airport. Shock Horror!!!Mr berry turns the bus around to retrieve his forgotten pasport! the journey was passed with many games of travel scrabble and so-du-ko. the airport check in passed without a glitch and we boarded onto the plane at about 21.00. Christ slept almost the whole journey from school to Delhi! Day 3 - Arival in Dheli! Culture Shock!!!!! From the very moment we exited the airport we were all struck by the vibrance and vitallity of indian life. we could not walk anywhere without people yelling and hawking there wares . being brought up on the metropolitan streetes of england really prepared us for this. Any of you who have been to italy or the middle east and have experienced firsthand the "driving", our taxi drive to the hotel was much more... Agile. We went to the "HOTEL" which turned out to be... Interesting (see pictures) Our meal out was very nice in a small indian restaurant and nobody is feeling any ill effects yet (touch wood). We have all just taken our first Diamox pill so are already starting out journey upwards. We are up at 02.15 tomorrow morning to fly to leh where we will begin out real aclimatisation.
