HERALD EXPRESS-
During our time in India we will be keeping a journal of events aswell as taking numerous pictures. When we return to the UK the HERALD EXPRESS want a story of our time abroard aswell as the pictures to do a 'class of 08' feature!!!!!

Day 1 of Trek

Today we leave for the trek and the glorious sun has sadly left us with its sadder and wetter cousin. yes, it's raining and for the past 2 days there have been storms on khangri but they should pass. Clouds are making it rather hard to see anything but once we start it will be fun either way. Today we jeep to chilling where we set up camp and 2morrow we cross the shopping trolley above the Zanscar river ( this refers to a small cage like cable car) George (me) is today and tomorrows leader followed by chris, dewing , bournie and stanley! so this is our last post for two weeks until we get back to leh. have fun without us! hope your'e all having an amazing time, as we all did... oh, it seems so long ago... :)
by the time you guys read this, you'll have finished your main trek, so WELL DONE! im sure that you will have done amazingly!
Taz - missing you loads and can't wait for you to get back, hope you had a great birthday, i made everyone sing happy birthday to you in spirit on the 16th..

Thanks for the email, it was so lovely to hear from you.

I hope you and the team are OK, we were disappointed to learn that the India B team didn't get to the summit of Stok Khangri. Fingers crossed that you all did, despite the adverse weather conditions.
I would imagine you are looking forward to chilling out! Perhaps not the best turn of phrase!

Aaron sends his love - he still hasn't got a job! Great being a student eh!!!

Dad's up to his eyes in work and I'm busy studying. Escaped for few days to Balloon Festival though - bit of a giggle.

You'll be pleased to hear your bedroom still smells, which proves it isn't you! Never doubted it for one minute!
